Colville Connection

Congratulations to Hugo (R18, Totara) and Jack (R36, Rata House), who competed in the 42km Moutain Bike Marathon - THE COLVILLE CONNECTION. A superb effort by two young competitors. Check out the photographs and event description below.
EVENT DESCRIPTION
It's a solid 42km and not for the faint hearted; with steep climbs, single track and gnarly descents this one is for the genuine trail junkie however throw in mix of technical running skills and some kiwi 'can-do' attitude this is an achievable outing for those who don't mind a long walk/run by the beach, great views and going solo. The majority of the course is on private land, not normally accessible to the public - so that's pretty cool!

PB/BOP Mountain Biking Champions

Congratulations to our successful team of students who travelled to Taupo. For the first time since the competition was introduced in 1997 Tauranga Intermediate School won the top school team. A huge effort in miserable conditions. A particular mention must go to the following students:

Cullen Brown 1st Year 8 Boys
Jack Wilson 3rd Year 7 Boys
Taylor Birks-Stock 3 Year 8 Girls

These three students along with results from Marshall Wells and Tom Johnson completed the winning team.

A huge thank you to all the parents for your support and transporting the students down to Taupo in terrible conditions.
